Amit Shah criticizes Congress | On Prajwal Revanna Sex Case
The grandson of former prime minister HD Deve Gowda, Prajwal Revanna, the Hassan MP, is charged with sexually abusing multiple women.
In response to the alleged sex tapes starring JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah stated on Tuesday that his party was in favor of an inquiry. He declared that the BJP supported India’s “Matr Shakti.” He also made accusations of inaction against the Karnataka Congress government.
The BJP is unambiguously in support of the nation’s “Matr Shakti,” or women’s power. Congress, I would like to know: Whose government is it? The Congress party controls the government. Why haven’t they acted up to this point? stated Amit Shah.
Since this is a matter of state law and order, the state government must handle it; we are not required to take action.We support the probe, and JD(S), our partner, has also said that it would be addressed. Their core group is meeting today, and action will be taken,” he continued.

The lawmaker has been accused of sexual abuse, and the state government has established a SIT to look into the claims.
A BJP politician wrote about Prajwal Revanna.
BJP politician G Devaraje Gowda reportedly informed the state BJP head last year about the video recordings in a letter that he authored. Gowda ran against Prajwal’s father, HD Revanna, for the assembly seat in Holenarasipur in the 2023 elections.
What are the allegations in the Prajwal Revanna case?
A day before the Lok Sabha elections on April 26, hundreds of sex tapes purportedly taken by Prajwal Revanna on his iPhone were circulated using pen drives in Hassan. remarks made by Revanna and BJP leader G Devaraje Gowda on them.
The first-ever public reference
In an initial lawsuit against 86 media sites and three private individuals filed in a Bengaluru civil court on June 1, 2023, Prajwal himself made one of the first public allusions to the tapes.

The second public discussion of the tapes took place in Hassan in January 2024, thanks to the efforts of local BJP leader and counsel G Devaraje Gowda. Gowda’s appeal in the Karnataka High Court had resulted in Prajwal’s disqualification as an MP in 2023 (though the Supreme Court postponed this decision).
Devaraje stated that he started defending Prajwal’s former driver in a lawsuit brought against the Revannas in December 2023, which is when he allegedly gained access to the footage.
In Karnataka, the BJP is JD(S)’s ally.
In the letter, Gowda supposedly claimed to have a pen drive full of pictures and videos purportedly taken by Prajwal Revanna, which he then used to blackmail other women.
HD Kumaraswamy’s remarks regarding Prajwal Revanna’s purported sex recordings
HD Kumaraswamy, the uncle of Prajwal Revanna, stated on Monday that the party has resolved to suspend Revanna and that a core committee meeting on Tuesday would be the final decision-making body. He also charged “conspiracy” against the Congress.
“I made my statement yesterday, as soon as I noticed the problem in the media. To achieve success, the Congress is engaging in various forms of collusion. We’ve already made up our minds. The decision will be made in the core committee meeting tomorrow. Being an MP, he needs to work from Delhi. I was unaware of the problem. Following our discovery, we made the decision to suspend Prajwal Revanna yesterday,” HD Kumaraswamy stated.
Additionally, HD Kumaraswamy stated that there is no relationship between him and the Revanna family and that they have been living apart.

A housekeeper accused Prajwal and his father, HD Revanna, of sexual harassment on Sunday. A case has been filed by the police under IPC sections 354A, 354D, 506, and 509.
