Munawar Faruqui is the winner of Bigg Boss 17. He posted the first photo with his trophy and host Salman Khan after winning the show.
One of the most controversial reality shows on Indian television, Bigg Boss 17, came to an end on Sunday midnight after comedian Munawar Faruqui was declared the winner. After beating Abhishek Kumar, Mannara Chopra, Ankita Lokhande, and Arun Mahshettey, he won the Salman Khan hosted show. The season of BB was constantly in the headlines for the interpersonal relationships of the contestants.
Filled with a lot of drama, emotions, and fights, the spectacular grand finale of Bigg Boss 17 left everyone intrigued about who would win the coveted trophy. Munawar having built strong bonds in the house with Mannara, Ankita, Vicky Jain, and others, bagged the trophy after spending 15 weeks in the show. Along with the trophy, he took home a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh and a brand-new Hyundai Creta. He expressed his excitement about winning the most coveted trophy by sharing a photo with Salman Khan.

She made a lot of allegations against him, accusing him of emotional manipulation and cheating. They even brought up Nazila Sitaishi, his ex who he was dating before Ayesha. The accusations made by the two women had left the viewers in shock. For the unversed, Bigg Boss 17 is Munawar Faruqui’s second reality show win. He had won Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp season 1.
The recent season of Bigg Boss witnessed a lot of relationship drama. From Ankita and Vicky’s constant fights, Isha Malviya, Samarth Jurel, and Abhishek’s drama or the revelations about Faruqui, netizens were whole-heartedly invested in the unfolding dramas. Talking about the show, the house was divided into 3 sections – Dil (heart), Dimaag (mind) Aur Dum (strength) and contestants were tested based on the rooms they were put in.
Munawar’s first post after Bigg Boss win
In the photo, Munawar was joined by host Salman Khan. Munawar smiled big, next to Salman in a black-and-white suit. Salman, in his casual look, smiled for the camera.
Sharing the photo, Munawar wrote, “Bohot Bohot shukriya janta aapke pyaar aur support ke liye aakhir kar trophy Dongri aa hi gayi (thank you my fans for all the love and support. Munawar took home a cash prize of ₹50 lakh. He was among the finalists alongside Ankita Lokhande, Mannara Chopra and Abhishek.

The finale was extra special for Munawar as it was also his birthday. Talking to Times Now, he said in an interview, “Isse badiya birthday nahi ho sakta (it couldn’t have been better).”

Munawar was one of the strongest contestants in the Bigg Boss 17 house. He grabbed the attention of viewers ever since he participated in the show, a lot because of his shayaris. However, later on, his popularity fell a little after his game backfired on him following his ex Ayesha Khan’s entry into the house.
Ayesha made several allegations against him in the show. From blaming him for cheating on her to making alleged false promises, she even claimed that he proposed to another girl for marriage. She also mentioned Munawar’s ex-girlfriend Nazila on the show. Despite these, Munawar stood strong and won the show with heavy votes in his favour.
Tonight, Munawar Faruqui emerged victorious, clinching the coveted trophy of Bigg Boss 17. As his fans shower him with immense love and support.
