Rahul Gandhi claims Modi interview scripted

Lok Sabha elections: Rahul Gandhi, together with SP president Akhilesh Yadav, launched an attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Ghaziabad: Rahul Gandhi, a senior Congressman, referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “the champion of corruption” on Wednesday. Gandhi referred to the cancelled electoral bonds project as the “biggest extortion scheme in the world” in response to PM Modi’s recent comments on it.

Wayanad MP Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, and the MP accused PM Modi of having a “scripted and flop show” interview with ANI.

“The Prime Minister spoke with ANI for an extended period of time a few days ago. Though scripted, the show was a complete failure. In it, the prime minister attempted to clarify electoral bonds. According to the prime minister, the electoral bond system was introduced to promote clean politics and transparency. Why did the Supreme Court abolish that system if this is the case? Secondly, why did you withhold the identities of those who contributed funds to the BJP if your goal was to promote transparency? And why did you withhold the dates that they provided you the money?,” Rahul Gandhi said.with?

“This is the world’s largest extortion scheme.” This is something that every Indian businessman is aware of, and it won’t matter how much clarity the Prime Minister tries to provide. Because the Prime Minister is the nation’s acknowledged champion of corruption, Rahul Gandhi continued.
The Supreme Court cancelled the electoral bonds programme earlier this year. The State Bank of India was forced by a court order last month to disclose the identities of people and organisations that purchased election bonds.

PM Modi’s remarks regarding electoral bonds

During the interview, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that “everyone will regret it when there is an honest reflection” and accused the opposition of spreading false information about the electoral bonds scheme.

According to PM Modi, the programme was designed to reduce the use of black money in politics.

“In our nation, there has long been talk about how using dark money to influence elections can be risky. The topic of black money’s influence in national elections has been debated for a while now. There is no denying that money is spent in elections. All political parties, including my own, spend money, therefore money must be stolen from the public. I wanted us to attempt something:

how can we have transparent elections free from this black money? I had a clear idea in my head. We were trying to find a path. We discovered a narrow path; we never asserted that this was the only path,” he continued.

Only 37% of the total donations made by the 16 firms that purchased electoral bonds following action by inquiry agencies went to the opposition parties, while 63% went to the Bharatiya Janata Party, as PM Modi noted.

“I recall that the BJP had a lot of issues in the 1990s; money was scarce. Those that wanted to donate lacked the guts to do so.I knew about all of this. You see, in the event that there was no electoral bond, the system could have tracked the source and destination of the funds. Herein lies the triumph of electoral connections. You are receiving a trail of whose corporation gave, how it gave, and where it gave because there were electoral bonds.

It’s debatable if the events of the process were beneficial or negative.I never claim that there were no errors made when making decisions. We get better after talking about it.However, we have now fully shifted the nation into black money.

Ideological election: Rahul Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi stated during the press conference that the Lok Sabha elections are ideological contests. He asserted that the Constitution was being destroyed by the RSS and the BJP.

The Congress Party and the India alliance are working to uphold and preserve democracy and the Constitution, while the RSS and the BJP are attempting to destroy both. The elections involve two or three major concerns. The largest issues are inflation and unemployment, but the BJP is working to create distractions. He asserted, “Neither the Prime Minister nor the BJP discuss the concerns.
